Nicecast is officially one year old today, and we’re pleased to unveil our latest major update, version 1.7. This update brings many new changes, including full custom MP3 quality settings, as well as an improved VoiceOver plugin with an adjustable buffer to reduce latency and the ability to work without background audio. Now you can use VoiceOver at any time, just by pausing your audio source. This major update adds many more features and fixes several bugs.
We were also recently honored by MacUser UK magazine, when Audio Hijack Pro beat out fierce competition to capture their Utility Of The Year award for 2004. In 2003, we were pleased just to be nominated, but now in 2004 we’re ecstatic to have been selected by the judging panel. A special thanks to Chris Phin, Ben Top, and Sophia George, and be sure to check out our company weblog for pictures and more.
That’s the roundup for now. All current Nicecast users should download this free update now. Please note that Nicecast now requires OS X 10.3 and up. Meanwhile, newcomers can click to learn more about Nicecast and Audio Hijack Pro. You can also read the full press release for today here.
