We’ve just shipped the latest version of Farrago, the Mac’s best soundboard app. Farrago 2.2 includes a wealth of enhancements to the app’s Shortcuts support, notable editor improvements, and support for the forthcoming MacOS 27 (Golden Gate). Read on to learn more.
Substantial Enhancements to Shortcuts

There are two brand-new Shortcuts in Farrago 2.2 We’ve added a “Play Sound Set” shortcut, which begins playback on the first un-played sound in the selected sound set (particularly useful for sets in List mode), as well as a “Configure Sound Set” shortcut to configure the name, notes, display mode, playback mode, crossfade duration, and lock status for a sound set.
Two existing shortcuts have also been improved. The “Play Sound” shortcut adds an option to either wait for playback completion or to continue immediately without waiting. Meanwhile, the “Configure Sound Setting” shortcut can now be used to change 17 different tile variables, including name, icon, color, and more.
Finally, the “Fade All” shortcut has also been renamed to “Fade Out All”, and the verb “Set” has been replaced with “Configure” in the names of several shortcuts that deal with sets (the noun) within Farrago.
Notable Editor Improvements

Farrago’s built-in audio editor also gained some notable improvements. Selections now offer draggable start and end handles, so the length of a selection can be adjusted, as well as display of start and end timestamps. It’s also possible to create a selection from the keyboard, with the “I” key starting a selection and the “O” key ending it. And when a file has a selection, playback is now helpfully limited to that selection. Last but not least, the editor now offers an option to loop playback, with both an in-window button and a “Loop Playback” option in the “Editor” menu.
