Under The Microscope

G’Day, Grant!

Grant Farr's portraitHere on Under The Microscope, it’s once again time for us to welcome a new employee at Rogue Amoeba! Grant Farr is the newest hire to be found over on our Staff page, working as a Mac Software Engineer. Grant’s actually been with us since April, but it’s taken us a bit of time to introduce him. Grant first performed a short contract for us, adding some functionality to Fission which we hope to ship by the end of the year.

Since then, Grant’s been hard at work on a top-secret project, one we’re not quite ready to talk about just yet. That work will also be seeing the light of day soon, though, so stay tuned. For now though, we’ll just say “Welcome”.

It’s also a day for some sadness, however, as we say goodbye to our longest-tenured employee, Mike Ash. Mike joined us way back in 2005 (celebrating his five year anniversary with us last year), and has worked on just about every product we make. Now, Mike’s leaving to pursue an opportunity with Plausible Labs. We wish him the best of luck. He’ll be missed, but his work here will live on for many years to come.

We’re hard at work on many updates (including full Lion compatibility, so watch our Status page for full details there) and even new products. Keep your eyes on this very blog, and on our Twitter account for all the latest news.
