Have a Look at Reemote for Airfoil

In addition to the questions we answered yesterday, we’ve seen a few requests for Airfoil Speakers Touch. Folks have hoped to have the same remote control found in the newest version of Airfoil Speakers for Mac, and that’s coming in the future.
But people have also asked for the ability to remotely control Airfoil itself – turning various outputs on and off, adjusting output volumes, and even switching the source. We don’t have specific plans to add that to Airfoil Speakers Touch.
Enter Reemote for Airfoil. Made by Kai Aras over at 010dev, Reemote for Airfoil fills this need quite nicely. It’s available now in the App Store for $2.99, and it works quite well.
What’s great about Reemote is that it shows exactly what’s possible with AppleScript. We made Airfoil AppleScriptable in the hopes that enterprising coders would add functionality. That’s exactly what Kai has done here.
So, if you’re looking to remotely control Airfoil running on your Mac, from your iOS device, be sure to check out Reemote.
