Audio Hijack Pro 2.9.1 Arrives
Posted By Paul Kafasis on February 9th, 2009
Now available for download is Audio Hijack Pro, our tool for letting you record any audio. This new release contains an important update to the Instant Hijack component for compatibility with 64-bit processes. For users who don’t know, Instant Hijack is an optional component (found under the Audio Hijack Pro menu, Install Extras… option) making it possible to grab audio from running applications.
In addition to the update to Instant Hijack, Audio Hijack Pro 2.9.1 also features several minor fixes and improvements. This is a free update for all licensed owners of Audio Hijack Pro, so all existing users should simply choose Check For Update from the Audio Hijack Pro menu, or click to download from our site. If you haven’t used Audio Hijack Pro before, check it out now with a free trial.

February 9th, 2009 at 8:22 pmWhat AHP desperately needs is a fix to the schedule element, as follows: when I move my computer to a different time zone, and re-set the computer’s clock, AHP reads scheduled times as being back in the original time zone. This has cost me a couple of coveted recordings, and I’ve seen no workaround for it.

Personally, I tend to just leave my computer on my home TZ, as I don’t trust much of anything to handle this correctly. That said, we should do what we can to properly handle it in Audio Hijack Pro
